Nice to meet you!

I'm Maddy, the proud owner and sole proprietor of Maddy Hayley Designs. With about a decade as a marketing specialist and dedicated UX/UI web and mobile designer, I bring a unique blend of expertise to the table.
My academic background includes a B.A. in Communication Studies from San Francisco State and a certificate in UX/UI Research and Design from UC Berkeley.
The inception of Maddy Hayley Designs was driven by a clear mission: to make creative and customizable design services accessible and affordable to small businesses and non-profits.
My journey working with various non-profits and small-scale enterprises inspired me to establish a platform that prioritizes accessible marketing solutions for these groups.

At the core of my philosophy is the commitment to crafting designs that not only captivate but also generate leads. I emphasize diligent research and professional expertise as the foundation of my work. My ultimate goal is to create designs that inspire passion, foster a sense of community, and drive growth.

Where are you located & what areas do you service?I am located in Tracy, CA. However, I do in person consultations in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Calaveras, and Tuolumne counties. I frequent Modesto and Murphys quite regularly. I can work with you if you are located anywhere in the United States via Zoom or can opt to meet remote even if you are local.

Do you utilize SEO?Yes! All website designs include on page and backend SEO.

Do you have pricing packages? When designing a website, I want to bring my client's visions to life. Every single website is completely unique! They are handcrafted to the specific wants and needs of each individual stakeholder. I do not offer packages or set pricing on individual projects for that reason. When it comes to things like consulting or ongoing web management, I agree upon an allotted amount of monthly hours. I truly strive to make my clients feel as if they are my only client and that is why I cannot have set pricing and packages that limit our creative capabilities as business partners.

Do you have payment plans?I currently do not have payment plans. However, payment for one time projects priced over $1,000 are broken into 2 payments (half down to start and half down when completed). Projects under $1,000 are paid in full in order to start. Ongoing projects are paid for monthly at set rate. Annual maintenance for websites are billed quarterly or annually.

What makes you stand out from your competitors? This answer can get a bit lengthy, but here are some key points. 1. I have a formal education in UX/UI website design. Although anyone can hop onto a website hosting platform and make a pretty webpage, most regular Joe's do not have a trained eye to make your users/ customers get to your specific end goal. UX/UI designers also know how to market test your website before it even makes it's way to consumers. UX/UI designers know the biggest pain points in creating websites and what to avoid to ensure a flawless user experience. They know how to balance pretty aesthetics and data driven placement to increase website navigation to where you need it to go. 2. I have a formal education in Communication Studies. Communication Studies looks at the dynamic interpersonal relationships between a wide array of demographics. Using this in combination with UX/UI design and research, I am able to create a more empathetic user experience. 3. I have access to a network of other UX/UI designers who help me test websites before they go live. Working on projects alone has many benefits! My favorite is that there is not a lot of room for miscommunication between the stakeholder and the designer. However, there still needs to be checks and balances in place. I still go through a typical design sprint and have other designers test websites before they go live. 4. I use Wix to host all my websites. There are several advantages to using Wix versus other website hosting platforms. I use the term 'website hosting platforms' because they all have very different approaches. Wix is a true website builder. Other platforms are actually content management systems (CMS). The way I view things is that Wix does 2 things absolutely right; has one purpose (to build amazing websites) and gives the best user experience (both for the backend author and the user using the site). I also create websites using Wix so business owners can edit their sites themselves. I have no issue making small edits over the years, but why not give business owners the opportunity to save a few bucks and do it themselves. Wix's backend is so easy to use that I have full confidence my clients can edit their own websites. Other website hosting platforms are really complicated and not nearly as user friendly. 5. I work with individuals and give one-of-a-kind experiences. When designing a website, I want to bring my client's visions to life. Every single website is completely unique! They are handcrafted to the specific wants and needs of each individual stakeholder. I do not offer packages or set pricing for that very reason. I truly strive to make my clients feel as if they are my only client and that is why I cannot have set pricing and packages that limit our creative capabilities.
